Division Leaders

Division Leaders are college graduates or teachers who supervise an entire age group/ division. They are responsible for everything in the division and directly supervise the counselors and campers in every aspect of their camp experience. Division Leaders meet with the Directors before and after camp each day to review all pertinent information that arises regarding group dynamics, food issues and scheduling.

Division Leaders also serve as the liaison between the camp and camp families. Divisions Leaders are also responsible for all contact with parents from the pre camp phone call through the last day of camp. Because the Division Leaders are always around their campers, they know everything about them and are able to communicate with parents about personal situations which may arise.

Head Counselors

A Head Counselor is in charge of a group of 15 campers. They supervise the counselors and assistant counselors working under them and make sure that the group dynamic is positive and that the group is safe and enjoying camp! Head Counselors must be entering their sophomore year of college.

Counselors & Assistant Counselors

Each group has counselors who are active participants in every aspect of every camper's day. The bond formed between camper and counselor is extremely important and often dictates how a camper likes camp. Counselors must be active, patient, warm, friendly, fun, energetic and responsible. They also must demonstrate good listening skills and be able to relate to children and sincerely care about their needs. Counselors must be entering either 12th grade or their 11th grade.

Lifeguards

Lifeguards teach swim instruction each morning to campers in small groups. In the afternoon, lifeguards are in charge of guarding our pool complex. We also have opportunities for lifeguards to make additional money on weekends guarding private parties. Lifeguards must be certified through the last day of camp. We offer a lifeguard course for those people with a strong swim background who are not certified or whose certifications have run out.

Specialists

Specialists are in charge providing instruction to campers in a specific activity area with the support of the group counselors. While we have curriculum in placer for each activity, we want to hire specialists who want to add their own flair and continue to develop the program further staying within the camp's philosophy.
